We’ve been living in this state of disarray for about two weeks now and finally — things are starting to look normal. We have a sink, for one. And the dishwasher is in, which is phenomenal. But other than that, we’re still living draped in plastic.
The brick area that was torn up a few photos above looks so much better now. We only have 1 hole in the brick now– ready and waiting for the pellet stove to be hooked up. We’re planning on ordering that tomorrow, and then it’ll be a matter of days until our new (and absolutely fabulous) chimney guy can come and do the official hookup.
And we need to work on painting the cabinets, buying hardware for both the old and new cabinets, and of course, figure out the countertop for the island. I originally thought we’d do Carrara white marble, but now I’m rethinking that to perhaps a gray/slate color honed gray granite. Nothing shiny, nothing speckly. We’ll see…
Updated pictures coming in the next few days!
