It’s a perfectly crisp Autumn night after a perfectly uneventful day. With a few grey skies and a bit of drizzle, I gained enough confidence in the dogs to pop out not once but TWICE  to run a few quick errands. I was back in less than 45 minutes to find that nothing was overturned, and I’m going with the suspicion that they were sleeping contentedly on the couch…

So, tonight brings a warm fire, a Harvest Yankee candle (my favorite!) and a few photos to share.

The Master bedroom is coming along… of course, boxes are pushed out of the photo — but you can imagine, for a moment how peaceful it is. It is a pretty dark room during the day since there is only one dormered window, so we need quite a few lamps to keep it well lit.

Ready…?

Here’s our progress with the Guest Room:

In terms of light, it’s the best room in the house — it’s bright during the day and has a beautiful view into the forest behind. We didn’t make it the master, just because I’m such a sucker for odd roof angles.

Just today, I just finished assembling the lovely bed I had eyes on for years before having a place to put it. It converts to a king bed with the trundle pulled out and also features under-bed storage. Such a fabulous design.

The brand new mattresses are waiting for you!

We’re all getting adjusted, slowly but surely. Finding new places to look out, new things to explore. This weekend brings a trip into the Mountains! I’m super excited to pump up the elevation and see some of the dramatic scenery NH has to offer!
